What is very clear is that space is not considered by any of these writers to be outside of the realm of social practice. Equally, the ecology of thought is no longer seen as somehow standing outside of the spatial. Geography has taken the same path, moving away from a sense of space as a practico-inert container of action towards space as a socially produced set of manifolds.
